Abstract

Lifestyle factors play an important role in determining the overall health and well-being of adults. This study examines the association between selected lifestyle factors and general health among the adult population. Key factors considered include physical activity, dietary habits, sleep duration and quality, tobacco and alcohol use, stress levels, and sedentary behavior. General health is evaluated through self-reported physical and mental well-being, presence of common health complaints, and perceived quality of life. The findings indicate that healthier lifestyle practices, particularly regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and effective stress management, are positively associated with better general health outcomes. In contrast, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, poor dietary patterns, and prolonged sedentary behavior are associated with poorer health status. The study highlights the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors to prevent disease, improve daily functioning, and promote long-term physical and psychological well-being among adults across different adult age groups.
