Dietary patterns play an important role in maintaining healthy body weight and influencing nutritional status among adults. This study examines the association between common dietary habits and body mass index in an adult population. Dietary patterns are assessed based on meal frequency, consumption of fruits and vegetables, intake of processed foods, sugary beverages, fast foods, and overall dietary balance. Body mass index is used to classify participants into underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obese categories. The findings suggest that frequent consumption of energy-dense foods, sugary drinks, and irregular meals is associated with higher body mass index, while balanced diets rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole foods are linked with healthier weight status. Physical activity and other lifestyle factors may also influence this relationship. The study emphasizes the importance of healthy dietary practices and nutritional awareness in preventing excessive weight gain and supporting long-term health among adults.
