Excessive dietary salt intake is an important modifiable factor associated with elevated blood pressure and increased cardiovascular risk. This study examines the relationship between daily salt consumption and blood pressure among adults. Dietary salt intake is assessed through eating habits, frequency of processed and packaged food consumption, use of added salt during cooking and meals, and intake of high-sodium foods. Blood pressure is evaluated using systolic and diastolic measurements and classified according to standard categories. The findings suggest that higher salt intake is associated with increased blood pressure, particularly among individuals who frequently consume processed foods or add extra salt to meals. Lower sodium intake, balanced dietary practices, and greater awareness of hidden salt sources are associated with more favorable blood pressure levels. The study highlights the importance of reducing dietary salt consumption and promoting nutrition education as practical approaches for preventing hypertension and supporting cardiovascular health among adults.
